Hand outs – slides are visual aids for your presentation, they are not hand outs that contain everything you are going to say. If you feel the audience needs to have some more detail to take forward with them then hand outs are perfect but do not give them out before hand, this will distract your audience and they will never listen to you.
Headlines – a good way to increase impact is to use headlines. You can make a bold statement and then break them down, this way your message will be really clear to the audience, sometimes the message can get lost in the detail.
Holding Slide – the holding slide usually carries the conference’s logo and theme. They will be used throughout the conference when there is no presenter but you can use them to direct the audience’s attention to only you to make sure you have their attention at a crucial point.
